The Chicks Sampler: Beginner to advanced climbers
February 3 – 6, check out Feb 7, 2008

OK girls, you’ve asked for it now you’ve got it…we’ve added an EXTRA DAY of climbing to this short format to give you a better “taste” of what ice climbing is all about.  You will also have more time to focus on the technical aspects of this exciting sport.  This clinic takes place in spectacular Ouray, Colorado, otherwise known as "The Switzerland of America". Climb in the famous Ouray Ice Park within walking distance from The Victorian Inn. We pack-it-in during this three-day event, we even host a public auction and slide show given by an inspiring woman climber. Come help us raise money and awareness for our local women’s shelter!

THE SAMPLER ITINERARY
February 3 – 6, check out Feb 7, 2008

DAY ONE:  – Arrive by 3:30 pm

 • 3:30-4:30 check-in to hotel room

 • 4:30 Meet in the hotel "day room". Introduction to the clinic and the guides.

 • 6:30 Pizza and salad at the Inn.  Meet with your group over dinner.

 • Post dinner - Sign out demo gear.

DAY TWO:

 • 6:30 Breakfast begins (come packed for the day: warm clothes, food, and water)

 • 7:30 Leave for climbing

 • 8:00-3:30 Climbing clinics in the Ice Park

 • 4:00-5:00 Hot tub or personal time

 • 4:45 Leave for Dinner

 • 7:00 Tri-County Resource Center Auction and public slide show

DAY THREE:

 • 6:30 Breakfast begins (come packed for the day: warm clothes, food, and water)

 • 7:30 Leave for climbing

 • 8:00-12:00 Climbing clinics in the Ice Park

 • 12:30-4:00 Workshop: tricks of the trade - anchor systems and rope work

 • 4:00-5:30 Hot tub, personal time or massages

 • 5:45 Leave for final celebration dinner

DAY FOUR:

 • 6:30 Breakfast begins (come packed for the day)

 • 7:30 Leave for climbing

 • 8:00-4:00 Climbing clinics in the Ice Park

 • 4:30-5:30 Final celebration. End.

DAY FIVE:

• Sleep in and check out by 11:00 AM.  Happy Travels!
